Ozone activated oxygen generators destroy odor causing bacteria and molecules. Help get rid of mold and mildew. It is not bad for you at all.(although there is such a thing as bad ozone and good ozone) Although a room with alot of mold and mildew might make you sick. That was prolly the smell.

Ozone generators are used to create oxygen ions that contain three oxygen atoms (O3), instead of the usual two atoms (O2) found in oxygen molecules. This ion reacts with a variety of molecules to disinfect and deodorize air and/or water.
Ozone generators for odor removal should be used when no one is in a room, because of the potential for causing breathing problems (like if it was a stagnant, smoggy day). Once the room is deodorized and ventilated, it's perfectly safe to be in an ozone treated room

my mom had something like that put into her home after she had a fire in her house. It removes all of the oxygen from the house to try to get rid of he smokey smell. Was it a smoking room they were cleaning out? I didn't like the smell it left but it was better than the fire smell.

Anything with 'Ozone' in it has to be bad for you.
Why do you think we're purposely defending ourselves against Ozone layer.
Talk to your OH&S representative and get something done ASAP

find out what it is exactly and research it online. Your employer is required to tell you what it is, especially if it is bad for your health.
