Agreed! Keep the troops there until the job is done, and the Iraqis stop killing Iraqis.

Actually, more died during the sanctions than either of those. But, you are using the term genocide very loosely. Genocide is a complete wipe-out of a specific ethnicity or religious group. What is going on in Iraq is a civil struggle, with people dying on all sides involved.

Question: Do you condemn the genocide going on in Iraq right now?
My answer: Yes, I do!
Max,
peace negotiator
Being the people who were successful at ending this war and knowing that Saddam was not the ugly ogre that our nation made him out to be. The Bush administration continually said, also, too, we DON'T negotiate with terrorist and Saddam was included on this list!
Any of you in favor of killing people without negotiations? Or how about putting someone or even a nation to death without a proper and fair court trial?
Get it together people!

True. Bush just HAD to find out the hard way how Saddam had his finger in the dam, holding back the flood of civil war.
Don't get me wrong,... Saddam was an evil S.O.B., and should have eventually been taken out of power by a UN backed coalition.
But he pales in comparison to the atrocities being committed in Iraq since this bogus war began.
The "war" from beginning to end, is about oil and greed, nothing more. Bush did a stellar job proving OBL's point.

I wouldn't categorize what is happening in Iraq as genocide. It is nothing more than murder and civil war.

For it to be a genocide, the purpose has to be to wipe out a people from existence. While that may be the end result, that is not the intent. Thus, it is not genocide.
Nice histrionics, though.

Your numbers are outright lies. They are beyond simply off. Additionally, most of the deaths of civilians in Iraq are caused by other Iraqi's. When a people are killing themselves it is not genocide.
