If the Indians were down 1-3 would we be as cocky as the Red Sox fans? Would we keep saying it isn't over or be confident that we still had a chance?

We're up 3 to 1 and I'm not saying it's over.
There's a difference between being cocky and being confident.
Even down 1 game to 3, I'd still be confident in my team (as should the Sox)... but I would certainly not be cocky and talk all sorts of trash the way some of them are....

I'm an Indians fan, and I am still a little nervous. I know the players were completely different in 1999 (Manny was an Indian & Trot Nixon was on the Sox), but don't forget what happened then. The Indians went up 2-0 over Boston in the best-of-five first round. Boston won the next 3 games with these scores:
9-3
23-7 !!!!! that one still hurts
12-8

A lot of teams have come back from 1-3 deficits. But if Sox fans think it's easy, they are nuts.
There have been a LOT more teams with 3-1 leads who have closed it in game 5.

Fans everywhere are the same. You have a handful that are casual fans who say nothing, and handful of loud mouth fans who you wish picked another favorite team, and than all of the others that are true fans and follow baseball for the enjoyment of the game. Baseball fans are basically great everywhere but there are always those few that make every team look bad.

its not over yet. go indians. yes it would be the same if it was reversed.. if id talk smack before and we were down 3-1 id have to take it.. if i cant take it i wouldnt dish it out..i aint saying we won yet.. if ya all noticed i been saying we still have 1 to get...

Indians fans are the most cocky around. You guys boo at pitches that are balls and when a pitcher turns around to a base with a runner on it.
