NBA - Tim Duncan
NFL - Peyton Manning or Tom Brady
NHL - Sid the Kid

Mike - If Kobe was such a great player, you think he'd have an MVP award by now, but he doesn't (Duncan has two). He's a great scorer, but has no idea how to make his teammates better, doesn't play great defense, and hasn't proven he can win anything with Shaq. He can have his 50-point nights, but I'll take the winner (Duncan) any time. And for the record, Duncan has 3 Finals MVPs. Kobe never won a single one.

Mike - I guess this is one of those where we just won't agree. To be honest, I do think Kobe is a great player and considered choosing him, but I really do think he needs to play defense better (he's a great defender when he feels like it). I gave Duncan the nod, although I think Kobe is a far better individual player. And I agree 1000000% about Steve Nash - it's a joke that they gave the award to Dirk last year. I really think they did it because nobody could accept this little PG somehow winning three in a row.

Seriously lmao @ whoever said Tim Duncan.

NHL: Sidney Crosby
NBA: Kobe Bryant (4 straight games with over 50pts last season)
NFL: Peyton Manning (Mr. Commercial)

~

Chris, are you serious? lmao! I follow basketball very closely, I watch all the Nugs games, and I know enough to tell you that there is no better individual player in the NBA than Kobe Bryant. And LeBron? Come on man, LeBron sucks, MELO all the way! Yeaah! MELO AND A.I. for the championship! And Manning just won the Superbowl, what has Brady done lately? Huh? huh?

Speaking of Tennis, yeah, Maria is absolutely bangin'! And, she's Russian, so I have a shot with her! lmao, jkjk. And yeah, Federer is the greatest ever.

~~

OK Craig; if we're gonna talk about making players around you better than the best is undoubtedly Steve Nash. He has 3 MVP awards (there's no way in hell Dirk should have won last year, I refuse to believe it). Kobe is a great scorer and a great defender. He is, by himself, the best player in the NBA. Let's see how good Duncan would make the players around him in LA. Duncan would suck on a bad team.

~~~
Yeah Craig, Dirk winning was ridiculous. I know Duncan is a great player, but I am very biased against him (lol, Nuggets fan), so I can't bring myself to say he's the best in the NBA. Also, I can't help but wonder; what if he really did play for a team like the Lakers? Seriously, the Spurs have been a great team. They've had Robinson (only player I can remember from the past), Ginobli, Parker, Bowen, Horry, Finley on their teams. If you put Kobe around all those players, he'd have a couple of MVP trophies too.
In the NFL...I would say probably Ladanian Tomlinson. He always starts slow
In the NBA...Kobe is the best all around player. There is no doubt about that
In MLB (just for kicks)...Magglio Ordonez is my pick. His defense is pretty good but his bat is phenomenal.
In the NHL...This is the harder of all of those leagues. I really want to say Ovechkin, especially with the way he is playing defense this year, but I just can't. I am going to give you a top 5.
5. Jerome Iginla
4. Dany Heatley
3. Alex Ovechkin
2. Sidney Crosby
1. Joe Thornton
Add- Mike, you must be sleeping, Tim Duncan is an amazing player, defenetly one of the best, and Kobe Bryant is way tooo overrated, he cant do anything with his lakers. And Come on, Manning? Arguebly one of the best, but defenetly has a hard time with Pressure and keeping his cool.
Ron Francis he replaced into between the nicest gamers on and rancid the ice and Steve Yzerman because of the fact the two gamers even after a loss have been very open and friendly in the process submit sport interviews. Detroit misplaced a great chief on the ice while yzerman retired.
