You have to go by DVRs. They are made for movies. A CD is for music, and won't work in a DVD player to show video.

Target has DVRs for about 10-15 dollars for a pack of 30.

good luck!

You CAN burn a movie onto a regular blank cd. It is called a VCD. You can use Windows Movie Maker, if the files are compatable. If not then do a search on the net for 'free vcd burning software'... I used to use Roxio but had to put one movie on 2 cds but I could watch them on any dvd player as most are compatable with vcds, if they're compatable with cd-r, which they are... ;P

You have to first have a DVD burner. If you have that next you will need DVD-R or DVD-RW blank DVD discs. I don't think you can just burn a movie onto a regular disc, unless you have a really high tech expensive dvd player. Even to play DVD-R discs you have to have a pretty nice DVD player.

you can always buy a DVD player that can play CDs.. I can burn AVI videos on my CD or DVD and my DVD player can read them:]

I own this: Philips DVP642 DivX-Certified Progressive-Scan DVD Player.

It can play AVI files that I burn in CDs and DVDs.. It's quite nice!

I have B's Recorder Gold and Roxio. I save the file as a .vcd file and it plays on my DVD. But I use DVD-R or DVD-RW discs. I don't think CD's will work. You can buy the DVD-r and DVD-RW's for about as little as the CD-R and CD-RW's.

Anyway, VCD stands for video compact disc and is basically just moving pictures and sound on a CD.

In Roxio, I can also just save as DVD. Guess it depends on what software you use. But I know that a .vcd file will play on most stand-alone DVD players.

Good luck!
