Given that I'm 43 yrs old, I see them often... but I avoid all the "shock" horror films and stupid movies.

I have daughters who I won't let see most R-rated films... but it it is JUST for language, I won't sweat it.

What really irks me is that TOO few movies receive the NC-17 rating.

Idk, I've seen 2 R rated movies, superbad and good luck chuck. Superbad couldnt have been any cleaner without losing the essence of the story, but good luck chuck was terrible. it easily could have been pg13 but they added in a bunch of unnecessary sex scenes. So i guess, all in all, I am saying that the storyline must be completely revolved around a mature nature - then they are understandable, but when movies get dumb stuff added in to make it "edgy" it i dont think it has any positive affect towards the movie, just negative ones that turn away a younger audience

Hey i have the same prob. my parents are against R-rated films but i normally end up seeing them if i really want to.
It depends on how old you are, if you think that you are mature enough to handle it, then mabye you should talk to some one.
I normally go to screen it .com
its 4 parents but i gives u info in the content of the movie.

To be quite honest, I don't care. The majority of the films I like are Rated-R. That's because of the heavy dialogue, dark humor, and whatnot.

It really depends on the movie...if it seems like a good movie then I'll go as far as R-rated.
