Are you off your meds again? I think his son Pres. John Q Adams liked him. So did Tomas Jefferson, later in life.

Adams and Jefferson were two of the main people that were involved in writing the Declaration of Independence.

When Adams was the chief diplomat in Europe and Jefferson was in France, he and Jefferson had a good relationship. However when Adams was president, he appeared like a scared man, could not take criticism, and passed the Alien and Sedition Act to stop people from criticizing him.

He was not in the same political party as Jefferson and made a lot of decisions that Jefferson, his vice president, did not like.

They stopped communications for a long time, starting it not long from the day that they both died, and they both died on the same day. Adams, knowing that he was about to die, said "at least Jefferson lives," not knowing that Jefferson had died earlier that day.

If you read the letters of Jefferson and Adams (and Adams' wife), you can easily think that Jefferson was hitting on the poor woman pretty hard.

I think you are talking about the movie "1776." He kept trying to open up the debate on independence, which no one wanted to talk about, so to change the subject everyone sings, "Someone ought to open up a window." Adams, in the movie and in real life, pushed the idea of independence.

By the way, nobody thought he was crazy. They did think he was annoying, though, in the Continental Congress. And somebody must have liked him, since he was elected President. Twice.
