China almost owns America now.
Why not?
Shop at Wal Mart!

How about "Made In America" by illegal Mexican immigrants?
Would that be more patriotic?

Or you could pay $50 for a flag made in America, by Americans as a fashion statement just to show your prideful expensive patriotism.

I collect american flags

the vast majority of my collection is made in the USA thats what i like the real thing made properly

i have one or 2 foreign made US flags - 1 from China one from Japan and one from England

the ones from Japan and England are fine quality - no problem with them at all and infact the English one has a rather fine way of stopping the ends fraying/ coming undone

the Chinese one however is of a very poor quality print - cheap ink that looks like it would go all funny colors in bad weather or when washing--
the stitching around the edges is badly done aswell and no extra stitching at the fly end

the Chinese made one only came into my possession because it was part of a flag and pole set i bought on ebay it came with a 6ft pole and stand set cost me very little
i needed the pole to display another of my flags

i live in England and ive had absolutley no trouble finding US flags made in USA by the top flag makers (Annin and Valley forge) either on ebay or when i was in the USA itself
if you cant find a flag where u live that is quality go on ebay! they are alot cheaper some half price or a third off new flags or u can buy 2nd hand flags

in answer to the question - it does annoy me to buy flags made in China because of their incredibly low quality
i have often wondered if they produce their own national flag in the same quality?

Well, seeing as I would never get an American flag made in China, no. But in a hypothetical situation yes, because it would bother me to see the most basic symbol of America exported to a foreign country why doesn't stand for the same ideals.

Yes it would upset me a lot. I have been looking for an American made football but the result has been made in China. The same goes for baseballs and basketballs.

Yes it would, I think it is sad that our own flags are produced by some Chinese worker in a sweatshop being payed 2 cents an hour who probably does not value or care about the American Flag at all.

As far as I know, they are all made in China. The last America manufacturer of American flags went under last year.

I'm sure it would annoy a lot of people. They would feel better if all flags are home made. But it's a mistake. Because it hides the real problem, nothing else is made in your country.

To be honest, yes it would, a bit. I think American flags should be made in America.

I only buy American made flags. They cost a bundle more, but enough is enough I say.
