Forget the diploma. If you know enough about an industry to run a business and need funding it's your credit score banks are interested in. However, if you are low in skills that will keep a business viable, such as bookkeepping, payroll, taxes, writing letters, etc. you will need to either hire people with those skills or learn them on your own. Your local community college should offer these types of classes.

Firstly,Whether you have a high school diploma or not is irrellevant. Getting funding for any type of business takes business stadegy and creditworthiness. In other words, you have to prove that you are capable of paying off the debts incurred and operating the business in a manner conducive with making a profit to pay operating expenses.

Not likely. The hurdle you will have to overcome is getting financing. A lender will be reluctant to loan money to someone who wasn't able to complete high school.
That fact says a lot about you to creditors. Get your GED.

if you have a great idea and get some smart people to work for you, yes. the idea and how sellable the product/service is matters more than your degree.
