They have already spent a truck load prior to the announcement and they will spent a truck load during the campaign.
I agree about spending money on hospitals, I nurse in the public health system, the irony is that when these politicians get sick where do they go? St Vincent's Private!
So much for supporting public health.

munro511 you are a clown. You don't want a puppet. Howard is the world renowned Puppet of George W Bush. Clearly you are a brainwashed liberal. You sound like Howards puppet. Bet your parents and their parent all vote Liberal. Get some muscle and choose yr own vote and look at the facts not the TV adverts. I voted for Liberal in 1996 and for that I will regret what I have inflicted on the Country for the last 11yrs. Never again.

Labor is trying to come up with a better tax policy to try and compete with the Coalition's - they will spend as much if not more to buy your vote. What about all the unions Labor have behind them keeping them cashed up!!!

Our economy has never looked better and it is all because of the great financial management of the Coalition. This financial management is the only reason they can now afford further tax cuts! Keep in mind the state of the economy when Labor was last in before you decide who to give your vote to!

They will spend what ever it takes to get back in to office. In my electorate we have a former state govt minister using some of the money he is entitled to as a former minister to campaign; while the member for Macquarrie is using taxpayers dollars given to him to "inform" people about govt services to campaign. It is no surprise that the Greens are getting my first preference, followed by an independent.

I'm not sure how much they will spend But I do know that instead of tax cuts that money should be spent on Health, education, infrustructer and global warming.

No amount of money can put the sheet over my eyes. I know what they stand for. And I will never vote for a party that moves in one speed. SLOW. They went into congress saying they were going to get all this done and what have they done! Um Nothing! I guess that explains why the Democrats in congress ratings are lower than our president!

You really think only the liberal party does this? Ha!

Not to support the liberal party in Australia, but rather I am suggesting that this is politics as usual. Doesn't mean whether it is the liberal party, conservative party, labor party, progressive party, or what. In the end, they all want your cash.

It's hard for politicians to bribe me with my own money...unless it's a tax break they are offering.
