I've listened to it, and it's definitely a studio recording. Was it ever officially released? I heard it was LP only, but I've never actually seen any proof.

Wow.... I actually never heard it. I'm a bit disappointed. It's never been released offically (or I would have heard it....). Where did you stumble across it?

According to rateyourmusic.com there was a bootleg released in 2003 titled "Out Absentia" with this version that actually clocks in at 16:19. There were a few other outtakes or alternate versions on there as well.

edit - now this is starting to seem familiar. i dont think ive heard it but i think i knew it existed? lol i feel like im 80 with memory loss
