When the national anthem is played, the footballers just stand there, do some on the spot jogging to keep warm and don't bother singing, (As seen the last 2 games.)

Whereas our rugby players, put arms around each others shoulders, and stare ahead in total focus, big as they are, you will see occasional tears in eyes, and they sing from their hearts and souls, They may not win, but they play with guts for their country.
England Footballers, play for their own glory, with no pride
England Rugby players play for their country, with total pride.

That's why England football will never win anything again. Unlike 1966, when they still played for their country, before the big bucks took over. What do you think?

I completely agree, footballers think about nothing but themselves and how big their next 6 figure payslip will be.

Rugby players have respect for themselves, their country, the opposing team and the fans.

It's true...

Football players get paid *so* much more when they play for their premiership clubs that it isn't worth their while stretching themselves and risking injury...

I'd sum it up differently to you:

England Footballers, play for the MONEY!
England Rugby players play for the GAME!

I wouldn't go so far as to suggest that the English football team will never win anything again but certainly, in the short term, we need to watch out for the Rugby Team to bring home the trophies!

I'm a in total agreement, I hate football they have no respect for the fans their country or themselves. Rugby players play for all the right reasons and respect evry part of the game, even the ref.

I agree. There is a completely different culture in rugby. The players are more passionate about their game and their country. The supporters go to the game to support their team, not to fight and cause trouble.

England... Good luck for Saturday!!
