My friend is a bit weird and thinks that all americans hate the english.
Is it true that they do?

No! i admire the English! Why might human beings hate on the English? i for my section desire I had a British accessory soooo undesirable. far greater acceptable than the way we individuals sound And the British seem a lot greater polite

I can only speak for myself, and my answer is no, I do not hate the English. I think they are great people. I could listen to an English accent all day. I love their wit as well.
Most of my favorite actors, actresses, and musicians are English.

Not that I've seen. It's funny how the we in the USA are considered the haters, when it is usually the other way around. Seriously, we don't think that way since we have so many close ties to other countries, especially the UK.

Although I wish they would shup up about my English accent at the supermarket. I came over to the US in 1993 & became a citizen in 2004, and I STILL get "I like your accent. Where are you from".....when I have a hangover & just want to shop in peace.

actually my 8 year old son says he wants to be British when he grows up...he is obsessed with being British to the point that for Halloween he is going to be a Royal Guard and all the books he gets at the library are about England.

i have lived in england and us.the english hate americans coz thy think thy are smart and to be real thy are not.all thy do is change stuff and make it unsensible it confusses them and thy look stupid for real.like how does an american pronounce flour ...flower ..which shd be fla.but it is just americans i guess thy will always be like tht.
Thy hate britons mostly coz thy cant be like them .
