I never have, and I never will. Why?
It stinks.
It's expensive from what I've heard.
It makes people act ridiculous.
It causes fights and car wrecks.
It leads to sleeping around and unwanted pregnancy,
It can result in being ticketed and losing your license.
It wrecks your health.
It destroys relationships.
It can cause your children to follow that path.
There are dozens of reasons, and those who have an alcoholic in their lives~as my sister had till he underwent treatment~could list even more.
So, when you start drinking is something to be embarrassed about really. Young people and adults have been taught the many dangers, yet they go ahead.
Now, I'll step down from my soapbox. I'm proud of being a teetotaller, especially because I am of Irish/Indian (aka Native American) descent. By the way, I went all the way through the Sixties and Seventies without being tempted by drugs and/or drinking. I'm a child of the Fifties, so I'm proud of my squeaky clean record!

15. Alcoholic by 18. Sober by the time I was of legal drinking age. I do drink today, just very carefully and very responsibly.
