You would have to do some things differently, depending on how close or intimate a loved one they are. For example, if they got a cut on their hand, you would have to use a different level of caution with them if you help them fix it. If they are someone you are physically intimate with...well, you'd have to use some sort of protection and start getting tested yourself, wouldn't you. I don't think you could treat them exactly the same...but you could still have the same amount of love for them.

Yes - I treat people with the flu differently (trying not to catch their germs) so I would probably do that with family or friends also!
I would expect the same from them...
For example - if I have the flu and need medicine I ask my mom to go get it and bring it to my house and leave it on the front porch and once she is gone I go outside and get the medicine.
IF I see her in the yard I will talk to her from the porch - but I wouldn't want anybody getting sick because of me and others should feel the same way.

I had an uncle that died of AIDS and no, I did not treat him any differently. He was still the loving man that took me to the park and rolled with me in the grass and took me to McDonald's.

No. I had someone in my family die from complications from HIV. Just because they have HIV/AIDS doesn't mean that they should be treated any differently. They deserve the same consideration, kindness and love as someone with Cancer. What the disease is, is irrelevant. My 2 cents =)

Yes I would. I would be there for them, make sure they took their medication faithfully, and be there when they are nearing their final days. AIDS is a devastating illness, and if one of my loved ones was diagnosed, I'd give them support and love.

Honestly, I dont know. Now if it was like my son, then I would not. But if it was just someone I knew then I really couldnt say unless I was in that situation. I know it sounds horrible but thats reality and AIDS scares the **** out of me.
