broomstick, but for comfort got to be the carpet. Magic carpet bit heavy on fuel , broom stick a bit girly, personally I prefer British Airways First Class.

It has to be the magic carpet. Flying edge on into the wind it presents a very small area. The brromstick, with its coarse bristles, produces a lot of drag by comparison.

Magic carpet - it provides more of an air brake. Provided you can keep it horizontal that is.
