Seriously, at your age (in school) everyone is trying to find individuality but yet they still have labels, "jocks", "preppies", "thugs" and "goth" etc etc. It truly does not matter. Be who you are, hang out with who you want to hang out with and DO NOT JUDGE. I often wonder about people who make snap judgements how they would hold up if the same mirror was put up to them. Its 2007, how you dress, speak, hang out with and love should not be the basis of whether or not you are a good person or not. All that quick classification and stereotyping will come back to bite these people in the butt really good one day.
You, my friend, hang out with the people you feel the most comfortable around. Life is too short to fit into the narrow definitions of what we supposedly see as normal. I am 36 and trust me, last night when I went to bed, I was 18. It goes that fast so LIVE for goodness sake. The reason older people always say they want to be young is not because they want to be like you, its because they learned how valueable it is to be aware that you do not know everything and that older people give advice because they know. They want a second chance with the knowledge that they have NOW to do it again and this time listen, learn and be openminded. So take it from me, enjoy the people that you hang out with.
I used to hang out with Goths way back in the 80s and they probably were the nicest, sweetest and happiest people at school, they LOVED the fact that people stayed away from them based on thier looks. That way, they felt, they could weed out the "fakers". I know, I used to hang with them too. Had a lot of fun with them. No worries, keep your head up.
And yes, watch that spelling. Youth and looks will get you far in this shallow society, but education and intelligence will keep you at the top once the youth and looks go away. And they will. Be happy and true to who you are do not let people who know just as much and more than likely less than you dictate what you should do or how you should be.

Whats a Gouth? Is it a Chinese Goth?
Your probably in junior high or maybe a freshman in high school judging by your grammar.Goths are cool people, they just take a little time to get to know,ya know?
Most of the people in your school probably don't know anything about those kids,so they stereotype and say there bad because they wear black or whatever, but just so you know about79% of those kiddies are going through a phase, i like to call it the Great Teen Depression,They get all "Emo" due to the hormone changes going on in there body, and they have no way to express it,and usually it comes out as a depressed outcry for attention, also goths have a artistic quality they look for beuitiful gloomy things.

Yeah as you might already know you spelled "goth" wrong. Next what grade are you in? I asked this because 1) your spelling is atrocious and 2) Are the people in your gradethat simple minded that they all are paying attention to the kind of friends you can have? Its stupid. Screw them all and be friends with whoever you want. Yeah I could say "labels are for soupcans" but everyone knows thats a bunch of bullocks. Everything is labeled, ever heard of adjectives? Nouns even. Plus it doesn't matter how much you complain they will be labeled anyway.

Rights? It's not a big deal. Most gothic people these days are just doing it for the fashion. People need to just accept everyone no matter how they dress, act, talk. This doesn't have anything to do with rights, it has to do with stupid high school politics. Just get over it.

I had a goth period in my life and there was some kind of consolation in wearing black and knowing that you dont pretened to be happy when you are not and that you are an "individuality". But all of this is bullshit. You have to be positive as you live with other people and you should not forget that.
P.S. my goths friends tried to organize a shooting on our campus and after I found out I was shocked, but it did put me off. :)))

I am going to assume you mean Goth.
You should tell the other people at school to get over using "cliques" as a way of identifying people, and instead meet them as individual people with their own personalities.
So long as they are not hurting anyone with whatever they are doing, there is absolutely no reason that they shouldn't be there.

I'm not sure about any "gouth" people, but I'm a hbrid of a "goth" and an emo. People at my school actually thought I was cool and took my styling ideas. (Chains, tight0fitting smart-alleic and skull t-shirts, converses that I drew on, baggy pants ect.) Being goth doesn't mean you have to wear pale make-up, tons of eyeliner and black lipstick. I sure as heck dont. I like people to see my face. Not all goths and emos cut themselves and want to die either.
There are the people who are really goth... and then there are the posers....

Learn how to proof read, jackass. This is why my generation thinks your generation is a bunch of morons. By the way, Goths are losers who have no idea how bad life can really be. It's easy to act depressed when mommy and daddy are buying all your designer clothes from Hot Topic. And if you're going to try and pretend to be in this group, then learn how to spell it, and change your avatar, it's not very goth, is it? Goths don't say "I love to help people" they say "life is pain", and you're a poser, which is even worse.

People who create tags and lables only do so to fit in, it should have no effect whatsoever on ones true identity.
And for some of you awnsering this-get over yourselves and stop with all the negativity, no one needs it.

Do you mean "goth" - people who dress in all black, etc...
Be friends with whoever you want - Who cares what other people think. I can tell you right now that the goth people don't care what others think about them.
