They're huge everywhere else in the world but can hardly get airplay here. Their new album is amazing, and more importantly, different than their stuff in the past. Still, nothing.

Their rock is amazing, their alternative is amazing, and now their pop is amazing... but everyone still wants to listen to crap rhianna, 50 cent, nickelback and maroon 5. What is wrong with the United State's taste in music????

I personally like them, though I haven't heard their newest stuff.......the American market is HUGE and very picky. Corporate radio executives and companies decide what they like and what they want to put on the radio........not all of us listen to that 'crap'

We used to a lot back in the 90s. I remember everyone (but me) had that album with a frog on the cover. The problem is the whole country collectively lost it at the same time and the band never recovered.

Because Silverchair is terrible, and not everyone in America likes 50 cent and rihanna.

They may have not toured enough in the states over the course of their career to generate peoples interest in them or keep people interested in them. Any band from outside the U.S. especially needs to tour here a lot to get their name and sound out. Sadly many great bands outside the U.S. don't make it over here very often.

I like Silverchair! Stop stereotyping.

They're kind of like Coldplay in some ways.

OZ can keep them.
We have 400,000 bands in the USA that all sound alike, and Silverchair sounds like them.
We don't ALL fall for any crap that comes along.

They got lots of attention here in the 90s, but have since fallen off our map.

I love the song "Straight Lines".

I do not know, I like them but I have not heard anything about them lately. I think people in America don't listen to them because either they have forgotten them or their music has not reached them yet.
