I prefer to not allow past experiences or emotion cloud my judgement nor would I depend on others, not even my close friends nor family, to influence my political leanings. Otherwise, I'd be a mere reactionary tool.

Growing up and really coming to understand and ACCEPT the reality of human nature. While I want to help others, I know that most people you help will just expect more help unless you show and make them how to do it on their own…

Many people (on the Left) say that capitalism inspires greed. I say capitalism inspires people to take personal responsibility of their own lives, do their best to earn their keep and more if they so desire. What they do with those earnings is up to that individual (that's called freedom). Capitalism does not dictate that they should hoard it, it is merely the most fair and effective instrument to allow said earning to occur.

My traveling into many other countries, observing their lifestyles, economics, living standards, and their political system.
Also, in 1964, I ran for a publicly elected office, and I learned how crooked politicians really are !!! I have not trusted even ONE since then, and guess what ??? NOT ONE POLITICIAN HAS DISAPPOINTED ME AND MY EVALUATIONS, BY BECOMING HONEST / TRUTHFUL, FORTHRIGHT, or PUTTING THE AMERICAN PUBLICS GOOD / BENEFIT -- FIRST !!!!!!

My husband. He's very intelligent and can explain things in a rational way without a lot of emotional content and then he doesn't pressure me to agree with him.
