I don't see why it would affect anyone. They are 7 times removed according to Cheney's wife.

it is true though, Cheney's wife i believe did a genealogical study of Cheneys family, come to find out they are French! LOL
They came over in the late 1600's from France, the child of the original immigrant a French Huegonot was the common ancestor
they are 8th cousins through Obamas mothers' side of the family

Reminds of the fact that Europe's aristocratic class and autocratic nobles used to be all related despite nationality.
