iMac OS question?

how do I find out what OS my daughters old iMac has? It says it was manufactured in 1999?

If you click on the Apple in the top let of the screen, and go to the "About this Mac" option. It will tell you which version is installed. Currently the latest available is 10.4. 10.5 comes out the end of this month.
