Yes. I competed for a traveling scholarship between my Bachelor's degree and my Master's. But I took myself out when I saw a girl who was in my class, hurry to set up her work for judging. I asked a friend why she looked so desperate to set up her work, as if something really important were dependent upon her winning. My friend told me that she and her young husband were really having difficulties with money. They had very little. When I heard that I withdrew my work, even though my teachers and friends called my gesture a "mistake". Well, unfortunately, the girl did not win the scholarship, some other student did, but I discovered through having withdrawn my work from competition, how little of an interest I really had for the prize. It was just doing the work with great pleasure which had counted as first interest, not winning.
The girl who did not get the scholarship was attempting to change travel privileges for the actual 10,000 dollars the prize was for. But unfortunately she did not win it. But I learned a lot about myself and how accomplishment for its' own sake was what had always motivated me.

Yes I have. And it was when I mistakenly thought that I had made a mistake. I got pregnant in 1996 - at the absolute lowest point in my life - and because of that, I have learned the true meaning of unconditional love. What I mistook for a mistake so long ago has turned out to be the best gift I've ever been given.

Yea, the bank made a mistake in my favor. It seems that someone misplaced a decimal point. So instead of receiving $110.00, I got $1100.00. Isn't math fun?

Yes. At work, I got a call that resulted in a sale netting thousands in commissionable income all because they dialed us after some other mortgage bank told them there was nothing they could do.

That is how I got my first drivers license.

I made a fool out of myself at the DMV and next thing I knew there it was.

Good thing I have a near spotless record.
