You are confusing two entirely unrelated issues.
First, liberal children are not indoctrinated by govt schools -- liberal philosophy is what happens when children overcome the indoctrination by govt schools. The indoctrination by govt schools tells everyone to conform -- to think the same way and to mindlessly repeat back what they have been told.
Liberals are the ones who want people to think for themselves, choose for themselves and the ones who oppose that type of mindless conformity.
Second, support for gender equality, racial equality, sexual orientation equality -- these have nothing to do with economics or welfare issues -- they are solely about respect for others and respect for diversity.
The people who think "where's mine? gimmeee!" are the ones that are taught the govt should do everything for them. Economically, that tends to be socialists -- not liberals. Politically and security wise, that tends to be conservatives -- not liberals.
So, the attitude you describe is not liberal at all.

I did. I am constantly startled to meet real children who have real thoughts feelings and strong loyalties and are able to articulate them in a way which belies real intellect rather than parrot learned fact. The Country appears rather different when you look out from behind your newspaper. There is much more cause for hope than dispair. Trouble is that contentment and joy does not sell very many papers does it?

I fear for the Nation.
We use the term "liberal" too broadly. We should say "left-wing-nuts". Liberals generally want to help and believe (wrongly, I think) that the government is in the best position to do that. Its the far-left-nuts that want to make major changes to the country and pull down whatever stands in their way. Today Hillary saaid she's going to give more stuff to the women of the country. She hasn't "locked in" the fwmale vote so she opens her "Santa sack" and starts bestowing new government programs on people to garner votes. Trouble is that it will all need to be paid for. Now I'm in my 50s. I finished raising my children. Been through one personal financial crash and am doing better than I ever expected to be doing. I do not want to give any of what I've worked for to the government to give to idlers. I DO give to charity (15%) and also help the people that I see who need help by giving time and money to them. I've given automobiles, free housing, cash, food, services, and many other things to needy people. We don't need the government to take care of us - we can take care of each other. That's what conservative (or traditionalist) want. I don't want children to starve or to be sick, I just don't believe that the government is the best way to do anything (having been in the governemt for 18 years).
As for the schools, we're in BIG trouble in the schools. Teachers who think schools would be great if only they didn't have any children... Teachers who hold back gifted students because its too much trouble to deal with them or because the teacher is embarrassed that the child is brighter than the teacher... It will only get worse as time goes by.
Homosexual freedom is one of the harbingers of doom for any historic culture. Study history and see for yourself. Its not that the homosexuals doom the society - its that, when a culture gets to the point where abhorrent sexual behavior is acceptable the moral compass of the culture is broken.

I think that children are more influenced by commercial TV than school or gay pride parades.

Other than displaying your obvious homophobia, what do gay pride parades have to do with that?
In any case, I'm a bit confused. Liberal doctrine is of sharing and giving, to ensure that those who need get. It is the Conservatives who have recently adopted the philosophy that whatever anyone has they deserve, and they shouldn't use any of it to help anyone.
So, basically, of all the uninformed attacks on Liberals I've seen, this is certainly one of them.

Gee, I was under the impression that helping children to learn to think for themselves was a good thing. Then they grow up to be open to new things and be giving and unselfish. That runs counter to the Republican stance of "I've got mine, screw you."

Okeee...what do "gay pride parades" have to do with government indoctrination or handouts? Your train of thought has derailed. Perhaps you should have thought to ask some to "gimme" you some education?

Yes, I do. The odd thing about children is they eventually think for themselves. Not to mention the teenage years where everything the parents tell them has to be wrong. I have faith in children to learn.

Indoctrination????
Surely you jest?
Conservatives perfected indoctrination!!!!
Being a liberal means opening your mind up to every possibility that exists in life not indoctrination!!
Your fear of anything different then your beliefs is what motivates your kind and is causing the panic now that causes you to attack!!
