You can't make an addict stop. The only way for them to quit is to first acknowledge that they have a problem and they can't do it alone, they need help.

So putting them in a prison won't do anything, in fact, it could be dangerous. They could actually die from the withdrawal process without proper medical supervision.

The only thing that you can do is pray and be supportive. Anger just adds fuel to the fire.

Anything as long as he isn't out there creating legal bills for you or getting behind the wheel.

i think it depends on the situation if he has done something wrong he should be held responsible for his actions so if that means jail then let it be.
