Would America lose its interest in Iraq if Iraq's oil finished. And would this, then, cause America to lose their very friendly relationship with Israel?

Not quite as simple as that. The relationship with Israel has little to do with oil. Iraq on the other hand, was about upholding the U.N. peace agreement of the first gulf war and the perceived threat of WMD. It has since morphed into stabilizing the government and holding at bay the Iranian influence -- they have everything to gain should the U.S. and coalition forces pull out prematurely. Iran NEEDS oil. The world economy runs on oil. Iran has stated that they are ready to fill the vacuum of leadership when the U.S. pulls out. The rhetoric from Iran has been very much anti-western and anti-Israeli. Iran has completely mismanaged their own oil reserves and cannot pump it out of the ground fast enough. Over the last three years, they've had to import rather than export just to keep up with their own supply and demand issues. While most would lay blame on Bush for having destabilized the region, his actions were direct. Iran has been working to undermine and destabilize subterfugely via terrorism. Given that, America and the coalition of the west, can il-afford to lose interest in Iraq.

No. While Iraq certainly held a large portion of the oil in the middle east, it is not the only country there with significant reserves. While there would certainly be some firing going on for the unforseen loss of oil, and therefore the waste of time and money in building so many bases and securing so many oil deposits, the region would still be incredibly important strategically speaking. Our greedy eyes would certainly then turn to other, smaller states that we could invade to secure the oil we had depended on securing in Iraq.

Considering that the middle east represents the jugular vein of the world's economy, the notion that the US would not eventually have boots on the ground to protect the flow of oil to the world is just absurd.
If Iraq ran out of oil it would be an even better place for the wold's policeman to stage it's assets.
Instead of the US leaving, everyone else would. Is there another reason to stay there other than watching the dates grow?

Germany didn't have oil and Japan had squat for natural resources, but we still stayed and helped them back on their feet just like we are doing now.

No, we can use their people for really cheap labor & make them our slaves.
Grow up, it's not about oil. Why don't you plant a tree or something.
