Bush is doing the same thing other politicians do, he's just really good at it...that is the fear card strategy. It helped him and others debrive the americans of civil rights, it helped him pass the patriot act, it helped him lead us to war. To answer the question, Bush dont care if we go to war or not, he'll be safe and he has proven he could care less about the American people who elected him. We are kind of stuck between a rock and a hard plate...if we dont do anything about Iran, they will create a bomb and use it against Israel, hence starting WWIII....however, if we attack Iran, Russia won't be to happy about it and it could institgate a World War as well. China doesn't want a world war i'm sure, but they will get involved if one takes place beyond they're control. So we are damned if we do and damned if we dont....sooner or later, even if it's not in our lifetimes, i think its going to happen though.

I usually agree with your posts but I have to say that giving the Dali Lama the Congressional Medal is the only positive thing that Bush has done since he took office in 2001. It's mostly ceremonial and doesn't really mean much in terms of real politics. China would be foolish to try to do anything militarily or economically about this to the U.S. It would be their economic suicide since we are their largest export country.
O.k, I read the link and I think you're stretching it here. The Dali Lama and Iran have no connections. And, giving the Dali Lama the medal will not lead to a WWIII war with Iran. Come on, let's get back to a sensible conversation.

I am sure that "that" is not his plan, but if you look at the media and what has been going on it looks like that is what is going to happen if things don't straighten up. This is not "World War 3" Either, not yet but soon if things don't change. I don't think that Bush has done anything to contribute to the war that is going on if anything he is helping the people over seas to learn to stand up for themselves. People really need to pay closer attention to what is really going on instead of listening to everything that the media has to say and turning it into what they want it to be. Bush is doing what he can to make things better for you and me imagine if you were in that position what would you do? How you make it better? I think he is doing great. Every President makes mistakes he is human. Is he not in-titled to that?

DID YOU READ YOUR OWN LINK?!?
Its the Iranians who will start WW3 when they build their first nuke. They will use it to destroy Isreal/ Whether you support Isreal or not - the destruction of a whole country is pretty much a world at war. Our president is trying to point out to the oinheads that WW3 is coming if Iran is not prevented from going nuclear. Get your head out of your @$$.

Bush does not want WW III any more than you do, and honoring the Dalai Lama is a great thing to do for a great man. We can't always pander to the Chinese, the conquerors of Tibet.

No. That's a pretty hysterical viewpoint of a diplomatic squabble, I think.
Saw the link, but he's talking about Iran -- not the Dali Lama. And it's still hysterical thinking (even if it is nice to see that our Naked Emperor tries to think, now and then).

I doubt it. He'll start ww3 when he attacks Iran. Besides, Walmart would never allow a war with China. China is their largest supplier and Walmart needs Americans to buy more crap.
