Ty Warren is fined $7,500.00 for forgetting to fasten his chin strap, now Brady is fined for the same thing. How can the NFL do this yet overlook all the drugs, and crimes comitted by players and staff members?

They are concerned about players getting concussions. I don't mind it but they need to be more aware of the player's worse behavior like drunk driving, drugs, etc.

Bear in mind that a $7500 fine to an nfl player is like fining us $5. NFL players get paid bi-weekly paychecks during the season, Based on their salaries those bi-weekly checks range from about $100,000 to $300,000. A player probably spends 7500 each weekend on booze, hotel rooms, air travel and food. If they actually wanted to penalize the players then they would fine them by hundreds of thousands of dollars like they did to bellichek.

They dont overlook anything in the NFL. If they find a way to fine the players they will. They give them millions to be perfect and that's what the NFL expects. no less. Besides, they just had to give up some pocket change for those fines. Kind of like you paying a speeding ticket.

Goodell has spoken with George Bush and came to a conclusion that the the loose straps could have been used to support Al-Qaeda and was a threat to american football.

Its the same way Bush has overlooked everything in our country to fight a war for oil and personal status.

did you also hear the rumors on the nfl possibly relocating the spot of the kickoff to the 30 yard line? moving it from the 35 to the 30. its getting ridiculous. sports have really gone down hill over the past few years. qb's are being babied. they are trying to make the nfl a league where no one gets hurt. IT'S FOOTBALL! i dont watch much college football cause the stupid bcs system. the nfl is going down the drain. baseball is boring. hockey and soccer strike me at no interest. basketball is boring as well. what the heck am i supposed to watch!?

Not sure what gives you the impression that the NFL has overlooked all the drugs and crimes.....but I think that the fine for not buckling your chinstrap is just plain silly.

It is a safety issue, If brady gets hit and his helmet comes off, and he gets hurt, the NFL is ultimately responsible for his well-being. I dont agree with everyone saying that it is stupid. The rules are there to be followed by everyone. Now let the barrage of how I am a Pat Hater and all that crap begin.

I know in years past this was very common. I kind of think their crossing the line. I think they have bigger problems to worry about than forgotten chin straps. What's next mandatory cup checks?
