What is the one thing, besides the obvious car seat, diapers....etc. that every new baby or mother needs? Is there something you weren't sure you would use much in the beginning but now wouldn't have done without it?

Remember to accept any and every offer you get from friends and family for help. Whether it is letting them help clean up the house for you, cook a meal for you, or stay in the house while you take a shower or take a nap, those precious few minutes you get for yourself will help keep you refreshed and ready to deal with your baby. Being a mom is wonderful, exciting, scary, and TIRING work. Enjoy the good and the frustrating, because it goes by so fast!

The one thing that I didn't think too highly of when I got it was a wipe warmer.
It turned out to be a pretty good idea. My kiddos never squirmed around when I had warm wipies on hand for their bottoms.

Also another life saver was shout for the clothes. IT saved so many of the babies clothes that I was able to use them for the next one! It was great.
Now when I give a gift for baby showers I get a laundry basket, fill it with Dreft, Snuggles, a fabric softener ball, Shout and some stuff like wash cloths, baby wash, diaper rash cream.....Oh by the way you absolutley cannot beat Dr. Smiths diaper rash ointment. I am a furm believer in that one. My daughter had a pretty nasty rash on her bottom and I used that stuff and the next day it was gone....100%. It is awesome!
Good Luck!

Sleep! I loved it when someone would offer to come over and watch the baby for a couple hours so that I could get some sleep. If they needed me, I was only a few steps away and I knew that my baby was in good hands.

I would say a bottle nanny. I found it online. What it does is it holds a bottle for a bottle. Its very helpful when you driving somewhere and baby needs a drink but isn't old enough to hold it them selfs. Its $20.00 but totally worth it!! All the moms that have seen it said that they wish that they had one.

I would say a boppy pellow. Man that thing made my back feel so much better while feeding the baby. She was able to sit up higher so i didnt have to lean over as much.

A good reliable, trustworthy babysitter.
No kidding.
Mommy needs to get out, even for just a couple of hours. It makes me a better mommy when I do that, if I ever get to do that. It is nice though. Makes you feel more like a woman and more confident and happy to spend some time to yourself. Time where you can actually think!!
