I love this question, it makes me remember how much he loves me.
We were at my mom's house, I was 18 and he was 20, I was in the back yard with my 2 sisters and my cousin and my mother came out and said that he was inside and wanted to talk to me, so I went in and he was in my bedroom waiting for me. He took my hand and he looked really serious and was just going on and on about how much he loved me and could never imagine losing me - and I told him he was scaring me - and he said don't be scared, and got down on 1 knee, pulled out the ring and said Sarah will you marry me? I said yes and kissed him - 3 years later we got married. It will be 1 year on Feb. 14th.

a combination...first one I encouraged the proposal and we'd talked about the ring beforehand, it was Christmas (near the christmas tree) when he proposed. The second time it was I who proposed (and no I didn't get down on one knee and buy him an engagement ring) and the question was "should we?", the minister wanted us married, even planned the wedding for us, all we had to do was appear. The third time it was agreement between us both (sunset at the beach).

I'm engaged.
He proposed on christmas day by putting the ring in my stocking for me to find. I remember having a terrible cold and didn't even want to get out of bed. He kept insisting I look through the stocking, and it actually made me mad cause he was bugging me about it. I finally went through the stocking and found it. I felt like such an a^%. He asked me to marry him and of course, I said yes. :)

I am married. 7 years on Sunday! Actually he did not propose, we just decided it was time.

We just started talking about it, although it was by a river so it was nice lol But he never actuelly proposed until he got my engagement ring lol

he actually never officially proposed, we just started talking about weddings and the next thing i knew i have a ring on my finger and the wedding is in less than 8 months

Basically I told my hubby that he would marry me years before .... But he said no no no that's not true ...
But after we had our first real date when I was 18 he realized I was right and flew over to the US and handed me a ring and said "You were right"
Very romantic I know ...

He asked my dad's permission first and then he took me to dinner and the whole restaurant was in on it. My whole family was there but they were hiding and he got up to use the bathroom so I thought and came over to me and asked me in front of everyone. Then my family came running out from back asking if I had said yes

My husband lit a bunch of candles in our bedroom, threw me down on the bed, kissed me deeply and popped the ring out and asked me.
