oh gosh, i don't see why it would be a problem!!
i went to a haunted maze the other weekend & they had a sign saying the pregnant women should not enter.
it's ridiculous!!
i also have asthma, but i don't scare easily at all (i tend to laugh when others scream). me & baby are just fine.

( i do agree with the above poster, i had a couple dumb kids nearly knock me over. i think that's the biggest risk )

I have been waiting to tell this story again---everyone else I know (especially my son) has heard it already more than once and is tired of it!

I was several days past my due date with my son (my first pregnancy). I had had Braxton Hicks, but no progress, and I was soooooo tired of being pregnant. I'd driven on bumpy roads, eaten foods others told me to try, and followed every wive's tale I could find to induce labor.

I always enjoyed spook houses, too, so I convinced my husband to take me to one. I said maybe I could "scare" the baby out.

Well, I was carrying him mostly in the front and it was dark in there, and so if you saw me from the back or a distance in the dark in the crowd you might not notice I was pregnant at first. So the spooks would come out and try to scare us and then take one look at my belly and go "ooooh" and run away like they were scared of me. I guess they didn't want to be responsible for sending me into labor? Anyway, it happened over and over all through the haunted house and it got to be hysterical because it was so obvious that I was being "babied". The only problem you will have is if you get to laughing too hard--I bet it happens to you too!

I wouldn't do it. I mean personally, I'm a scardy cat. But you're pregnant and you have asthma. You may not get scared easily but you never know. First time for everything. You should just take precautions, especially for the baby. Besides a preganant woman has no business being in a haunted house even if she has clearance from her doc.

All haunted homes post warning signs asserting to no longer are available in in case you're pregnant or have heart situations. it relatively is totally risky via fact your heart fee is going up once you get spooked. that style of tension on your heart can harm the toddler. Plus you need to nevertheless holiday over some thing and get harm. If the staff on the haunted abode understand you're pregnant they are going to refuse your front.

It would be okay, don't let your asthma hold you back!
When you go inside if you see fog just cover you mouth with a wet or dry cloth. As long as you do not scare easily I believe you will be fine.

The risk would be your nerves that your baby can feel.

Also when you go make sure you don't go with rowdy people who are gonna run and bump into ya.

My doctor told me last week that haunted houses are okay. He said "there is no possibility of scaring the baby out." If being startled usually triggers your asthma though you may want to be careful. You know your body better than anyone else though...so go with your instincts. Have fun!!!

My sister wants me to go and my concern is that I am going to fall or be pushed in the dark. I'm not worried about being scarred and hurting the baby. Another thing I have been wondering about is the fake fog they use. It smells bad and I don't know if I want to be breathing that in.

I am pregnant now and when I was pregnant before, my doctor advised me to be careful of stupid people who get scared and run and might knock you over. She said to stay away from the fog machines because it's not good to breathe in that stuff. As I did before, when I go this year, I'm going to have my husband keep close to me and try to keep away from hyper people. I kept my hands out and sort of pushed people away who were getting to close or excited and I didn't want them to hurt me or push me down. Have fun!

Just make sure that you know everyone that's in your group, you dont want to be in a group of immature people who may act crazy and accidetly bump into you or make you fall. Being in the dark also increases the risk that you will fall. Falling would be the main concern.

I personally wouldn't go because I am so afraid of those things, I think I would send myself into early labor. Huge rushes of adrenaline may not be great for baby, but if your doctor said it was okay, then I guess it's fine.

Good luck!
