Throwing his arms up like that and standing at home plate for like an hour--What the hell is that?

You know what makes it worse?

It's not just the lack of sportsmanship. It's the carelessness and sloppiness too.

The way he wears that filthy uniform that can fit him and 5 other people. The way he wears bandannas and Du-Rags under his baseball cap. He always looks as if he never heard of shampoo.

The way he never runs out a ground ball. I've seen him walk straight to the dugout without running, just because he knew he was gonna be out.

The way he jogs to a fly ball that could be caught with a little hustle. The classlessness is just one of the many things wrong with him. He has no respect for the sport. He's a disgrace.

Maybe people would respect Red Sox fans if they didn't defend him and egg him on. As long as he knows he can get away with everything by "being manny" then he will never learn.

I agree with Sinatra on this one. We watched Money Ram for years in Cleveland and he while he was obviously a natural talent, he was also a major bonehead. I heard he slowly walked towards first after admiring his homer, that even the Indians were yelling from the dugout. As for fans throwing the balls back onto the field, the crowd always chants to throw it back, regardless of what game it is. Most people do not throw it back and I think that in the heat of the moment they did last night. Plus - what good is a baseball really - outside of a personal souvenir - if you have no proof of authenticity. I could buy an official MLB ball and say Ramirez hit it out of the Jake and so what? No proof, no autograph, no value, so if the person does not find personal value to it, then why not throw it back? Better than at Yankee Stadium where the fans throw things or pour beer on fans of the other team. Back to Money Ram: he is an uneducated lout with a lot of money because he can hit a baseball. He is a simpleton, dumb as a box of rocks. They knew that in Cleveland, I am sure they know it in Boston. He asks to be traded almost every year so he can get out of Boston. What a stud.

Manny is a 12-year old in a 24-year body. He just doesn't know any better.
I am a die-hard Cleveland Indians fan and I just laugh at him.
Any other batter would have seen one at his head the next time up, but not Manny. You just can't do it. It's like he doesn't even know better, or he is so smart he has us all thinking that he doesn't know better.

Because that was a tough at bat, and the Sox really needed Manny to hit a dinger. It was a blast and he was admiring it, I would do the same thing. Plus it was against his old team. In the regular season, he would probably be beamed the next time up, but with the Indians up 3-1, there are no sour apples there yet.

Showing that you're happy that you hit a home run is classless? In that case, how come the Indians are classless, celebrating on the field after they win a game?

Personal Insult: Because Manny hit a HOMERUN, maybe?

What the heck is up with the Boston fans classless a@@e@@????? HUH???? Throwing back the HR balls !!! What type of sore looser crap is that. You wanna talk about class??? I was for neither team , but nonetheless You just Don't do that. In all aspects of life, you take the good with the bad. (by the way-it was not an hour) What he did was not any different than the dance FB players do at the EndZone .I bet you think that's cute , HUH????
When you learn the psychology of sports, you'll understand :)))
Atheletes thank their 'lucky stars-Angeles' all the time. Also when fans give them a hard time and they answer back, that's just part of it all. LIKE IN YOUR FACE!! HUH!!

Most Red Sox fans find it funny. Most other fans find it(as you said)classless. I never liked how he did that. Not when he was on the Indians, not now. As ESPN writer, Jerry Crasnick said, it was one of the most blatant acts of self-absorption you'll ever see.

So he missed class a few times. That doesn't make him totally classless!

Should he have done that. Probably not but it was a great at bat and a great hit on a good pitch that you don't typically see hit out of the park. Plus it's Manny. If he didn't that would surprise me.
