Tweety what are the different realms of heaven? Do you have a link? Twillight what are hermenetical rules?

Tweety I did try to look up realms of heaven and found out it is really based on fiction. JRR Tolkien. Unless you know of something else.

Heathen Daughter and Nightwin I mean no disrespect. I'm sorry if it came off that way. I have read alot about ancient civillizations and have often wondered about their gods. The gods of ancient cvillizations seem very fickle and will turn on their own people they don't seem to live by any laws. This is why I thought they were fallen because they don't seem to be too "stable" and loyal. They do whatever they want and the people are at their whim and mercy. I expect a god who rules over all to be just, fair minded, merciful, and benevolent. And Nightwin I have wondered if our angels in the bible might be the fallen ones too. I actually love the stories of our angels and don't mean what I say to be disrespectful either. I presented this question for a "discussion" with others to see what they thought. The more I look around the more I see our simmilarities and not our differences.

yes I have thought that. I think that most myths and legends have lasted so long because there is a semblance of truth to them and every culture has a similar story.

I am most suspicious of the Zodiac gods as being demons or fallen angels. I read that book "The Coming Global Superstorm" by Whitley Strieber and Art Bell. Although I still have respect for these two guys, I'm afraid they really went off the New Age deep end with their ideas about those Zodiac gods. I now know things that I did not know about such things as that "Age of Aquarius" song from the 60's. Their contention that the early church symbol of a fish that everyone is putting on their cars actually represents Pisces is particularly interesting.

So, we are just running on the assumption that the Christian god and all its associated stories are true, and all the "false gods" of other religions (that's what you call a myth if a lot of people still believe in it) can be explained via Christian stories? Well, that's all nice and neat and pretty-sounding...in fact, it's how early Christians attacked the gods of other religions, calling those other gods demons and devils with no real power.

But isn't it a tad narrow-minded to assume that Yahweh is the True God and, say, Zeus or Jupiter or Odin is not? Especially since there's no more evidence to support the existence of the Christian god than any of the "pagan" gods...

Edit: Oh, and I couldn't help noticing something about Duff's answer above me. About the little Jesus fish symbols on everybody's cars representing Pisces. That's absolute bunk; sounds like something I saw on that bogus online movie Zeitgeist. The "Jesus Fish" or Ichthys is a Greek Christian acronym and has nothing whatsoever to do with the constellation Pisces.

If the theory of the Bible concerning fallen beings is true and that you have a choice in what you do we are all doomed and God is alone. I have NEVER met a christian that believed what they say and didn't use the church as a political chip to get ahead and alienate someone else. If you want to see a fallen angel just go to church. The pews will be full of them...

I hate to burst your bubble, but the Bible does not teach anything about "fallen angels". This concept comes from a misinterpretation of the Old Testament Book of Isaiah--the only place in the King James Version of the Bible where a Latin word is used. LUCIFER is that word. Incidentally,it was written in Hebrew LONG before Latin. LUCIFER simply means Son of the Morning. Indicating that this person's life was bright and prosperous.

The other passage misinterpreted to give this faulty theology of fallen angels is in Revelations where John saw a vision of a dragon falling from heaven and his tail took 1/3 of the stars with him. To say that this is talking about Satan and his demons being kicked out of heaven and becoming the devil and his demons is to take the passage OUT of context and violate the hermaneutical rules of proper literary interpretation.

Absolutely! I would recommend you find this pastor named Perry Stone. He too has done extensive research on the correlation between the "Fallen Angels" who gave man technology beyond his (then) understanding, tampered with genetics to produce giants who in turn enslaved man globally and has produced a tape or two on this. Pretty compelling arguement(s). There are temples with the same writing and construction technique that are in Germany, The Sea of Japan, Thailand, Scotland etc. These temples were made of enormous stones the most famous being in Thailand and Cambodia.
Thats why Noah was picked by God because his bloodline was not tampered with. "being perfect in his generations..." There is much information out there about this. Check out the AM Radio show "After Dark with George Noori" he has featured two authors who have traveled and researched this. Sir Martin Reese being one.

Since I strive from the mindset that what we trully know is actually very little and everything else is based in faith, we as humans can spend a lot of time surmising what we think or know things to be. 'If that makes any sense'. I could see how when Satan was tossed out of heaven , there were minions who followed him. Those minions' or fallen angels' if you wanna refer to them as that reside here in our earthly realm. To them it is a imprisonment as the reason they got tossed out is they wanted to overthrow God himself and rule Heaven. So I could see how a fallen angel who I am sure can take or has a human form would have talents, abilties, powers, ect that would allow them to take on Godly forms , especially to any peoples that fell away from leaving the life God wants for us.

Stop. Please just stop.

As a polytheist pagan that absolutly insults me and my religion. My gods are NOT fallen angels. They are thousands of years older then the Hebrew based religions. Period.

If you READ the lore of the gods, you will see that it's not possible. Christianity can basterdize that lore all they want, but the gods are my family, my Elder Kin. I am thier literal decendants. Nope, not a joke. People still follow the old ways. Please don't cheapen OUR religion by trying to put it into YOURS.
JRR Tolkein borrowed HEAVILY from Norse lore. Read the Voluspo. The names are verbatum. We have the nine worlds, also found in the Eddas. It's OUR lore, not Christianities. Please don't steal it. Again.

If you try and do a little bit of reasearch on angelology and demonology you'll see that most likely angels (and demons) are not really existing - they are rather (most of the times) a way of explaining natural forces (in the very beginning of the organised religions), discrediting gods of othre tribes/nations, or personification of human characteristics/attributes (similar to how gods of mythology have been made up)...

I'm not sure that we can speak with authority about that with a clear yes or no. Some may ne and many may be simply creations of mens minds or misunderstandings of the true God. I thing it can be said that there must be some type of satanic influence because we know from scripture that Satan is the father of lies and that Jesus spoke of those that created and spread lies as being "of thier father the devil".

Um, no. I believe my gods are gods. I have no idea why you would even connect the concept of polytheistic gods (which I think is what you're trying to say) with fallen angels. Would you even consider that your concept of angels are actually the polytheistic gods? What's the difference between the two suggestions?
