I was on the depo but i'm not going back on it due to it making me feel sick all of the time and no libido.

I was thinking of the pill but i'm sure i would forget to take it. Also i'm not into the implant that you have for up to 5 years.

Any suggestions?

I use the pill...it has worked for me and sometimes I have even messed them up by forgetting to take one. I would say the pill, but the best thing is no sex...Make an appointment with your gyno and ask questions and tell him or her your concerns.

Try that new IUD. I've seen the commercial for it a hundred times but still can't remember the name of it, but it starts with an M. Unlike the old IUD's after a couple of months it's suppose to give you lighter periods.

The old IUD's gave you heavy bleeding and bad cramping. Well this is suppose to be just the opposite. The only bad thing, well it wouldn't bother me, but just so you know they put IUD's in during your period when your cervix is dilated a bit.

They say just to take Motrin for the pain, but if I was you and if you can find something stronger to take before the procedure I would. Like Tylenol #3 or Vicodin. Or keep it on hand just in case it hurts worse. Each person is different.

So check out that IUD, I am, because I always forget to take the pill and I want a birth control I don't have to worry about.

you can get the pill in the form of a patch. You stick it on and it stays on for three weeks, then you go off it for a week while you menstrate. You just put it something inconspicuous, like on your panty line or inner thigh. Only problem that I hear is that the "stick" of the patch sometimes doesn't last the full three weeks and can start to roll. Other problem would be if you were going to the beach, you'd need a good place to hide it.
Also, the pill comes in the form of a ring that you insert into your vagina. You put it in and forget about it for three weeks and then remove it for your mentral cycle. Apparently it stays out of the way during intercourse, but i've never used it personally.
Honestly, I'm a big fan of the pill itself. Ortho tricyclen lo. I thought I would forget to take it, and I have one day here or there, but as long as you do it the same time every day, it becomes an ingrained habit. And if you miss a day, as long as you take it within 24 hours of missing it (you can double up, if you remember right when you are taking the following day's pill), you are still safe. its only after you forget two pills in a row that you have to wait until the end of your next menstral period.

I've had similar problems with the depo. Try nuva ring. It is sooo easy and you only need to think about it once a month! I have an IUD now and I wish I would have gotten the non-hormonal one, but I'm so glad I don't have to think about my birth control. Nuva Ring was second best to this. You don't have to have the IUD in for the whole 5 years.

If you've had children maybe your spouse would agree to a vasectomy.Easy alternative to years of hormonal hell.
Also a low progesterone birth control pill may be helpful
if you felt sick on depo.

i was on the shot, and it made me sick too.
of course theres abstinence, but really.. people are gona have sex.
i wouldnt get the implant.. or anything like that.
your best bet is to def use condoms not matter what you do.. and i would try going on the pill
its hard to remember, but try to schedule it at a time that your more likely to remember, and maybe set an alarm on your phone or something to help you remember to take it.

I have the Mirena IUD and I LOVE it!!! I had a very light period for about 7 months, and then all of a sudden it stopped and I haven't had one for like 3 months now. I had no mood swings, or weight gain with it. Very low maintenance, no more trying to remember a pill every day.

Though It is not recommended it you haven't had children.

Pill it is, I would ask for Ortho Low so that it doesn't affect your libido or make you sick. There really isn't much else out there other than condoms.

I have been on the pil for years and never had problems..

If you are married and don't ever want (more) children, a vasectomy is the best method. Your medical insurance usually will pay 100%.
