That is one of the reasons why I switched parties to vote for Ron Paul. He never voted for the war or the Patriot Act.

The majority of congress has flip flopped on the war, even Republicans. Should politicians never change their mind when new information comes to light? The Catholic Church once preached that the world was flat but I won't hold that against them.

Seems shes got a lot of company.
With the elections coming up and so many Republicans heading for the hills, and the President thinking hes got the people in his pocket by blaming Congress, I look for the ones who used to believe to be jumping out faster than a Swiftboater lies.

Typical establishment politician. That's why I'm voting for Mike Gravel in the primary and third party in the general election.

FLIP
"The most important thing is for us to find Osama bin Laden. It is our number one priority and we will not rest until we find him." G.W. Bush, 9/13/01
Washington Post, 9/17/01, UPI: Bush said he wants accused terrorist leader Osama bin Laden "dead or alive.” “I want justice...There's an old poster out West, as I recall, that said, 'Wanted: Dead or Alive,'"- G.W. Bush, 9/17/01, UPI
AP, 12/14/01: President Bush pledged anew Friday that Osama bin Laden will be taken "dead or alive."
FLOP:
Capturing OBL no longer a priority:
G.W. Bush, 3/13/02: I don't know where Bin Laden is. I have no idea and really don't care. It's not that important. It's not our priority."

I think that she took for granted that the President of the United States gave Congress valid information.
Then I think she saw what the rest of the country saw - that bush had cherry-picked the intelligence to "justify" the war.
So, I think she adjusted her opinion based on facts as opposed to fiction.
Just like any smart American would do.

it is the general politicians point of view- Say what they think you want to hear.
Vote how you want to and make it up to the public when they are outraged.
It is the same in Republicans and Democrats.

Like Hillary, I believed the WMD were a threat to us. Now I know better, just like Hillary. If I am allowed to change my view, why can't she.
