I saw all but the Notebook. Fried Green Tomatoes was better than Bridges of Madison County and Titanic was better than Bridges , I heard the Notebook was a tear jerker , so all in all , I would say that Fried Green Tomatoes was the best of all 4 movies .

TITANIC!
This movie STINKS! It's so dreadfully inaccurate. Besides, what woman supposedly of her class would climb into a car with a guy from steerage?!
Do you know that the plot is ripped off from a "Time Tunnel" episode? Tony meets a young woman, and they develop a romance~but, she's already involved with someone. (I don't recall if they're engaged or not.) When the ship is sinking, the man cuffs Tony below deck. Of course, he gets free. Sound familiar?
I don't mind "Fried Green Tomatoes" because of Jessica Tandy's role, which is a good one for her. But the flashback stuff is so-so.
I don't mind "Bridges of Madison County" either. My mom, who isn't a movie fan, really likes this one. Clint Eastwood certainly is sexy and deserves to be called a "silver fox". Meryl Streep is always good. I've seen it several times and can tell you that there are many movies I'd name as worse, including all of the gorefest/splatter stuff that people seem crazy about and all of those plastic-looking fish, bees, ants, and other creatures that Pixar and others keep belching forth onto the public. I think that public is beginning to tire of the stupid animal movies and some of the vulgarity. It's probably too late now.
By the way, I haven't seen "The Noteback", but I see it mentioned a lot.
Is it just flashback movies you don't like? I stepped outside that genre then. I just noticed that all of yours involve past/present. If that's it, what about "The Ya-Ya Sisterhood" and "Now and Then"? No doubt I'm forgetting others.

Every movie you've listed were/are considered crowd pleasers because people DID love them. Lots of people, which explains their combined Oscars, other awards & repeated showings. Why not list movies that the majority actually 'hated'? That would make more sense. You obviously like 'scenery' over 'story' and that's fine, but these movies are considered great because of their great 'stories'. Now which movie was worse? The Hulk, Daredevil, Batman Forever? ;P

I guess I should be embarassed because I liked them all. Oh yeah, they have some relatively cornball scenes, but I am a sucker for a chick flick and love a movie that makes me feel something other than fear or revulsion.

Fried Green Tomatoes wasn't so bad, not to mention that it was based on my hometown of Valdosta, Georgia.
