I don't know if it's exactly a "pro" but the curve to the front can give a little added volume to the tank over a rectangular tank of the same length and height. The curve might also act as a lens to "magnify" the contents to make the tank's contents look larger (I'm not a physicist to confirm this effect, but that's how a lens acts.) This might also distort the view slightly, but not as much as a cylindrical tank, or an acrylic tank with rounded corners.
I think the biggest disadvantage is that if anything were to happen to the curved panel (it gets cracked or broken - and not all bowfronts are acrylic!), it would be harder to replace - the curved glass would be more expensive as well, and this is why bowfronts tend to cost more than rectangular tanks the same approximate size.

The pro is that they make a bit more of an unusual tank for humans to look at. The con is that they sometimes tend to have height more than length. The single most important thing for an aquarium tank to have is length, so as long as the tank is very rectangular in dimensions, bow front is fine.

The pros of a bow front tanks is that it is entertaining to look at, gives your fish more room to swim and it allows you do do many interesting things with the layout of the tank.
The only bad things about bow front tanks is that they are acrylic. While Acrylic does weigh much less it is easily scratched. You will will not be able to scrub acrylic with a toothbrush or scrape with a razor blade, the best way to clean it is with an old facecloth and elbow grease.
happy shopping!!

pros would be the convex shape front gives a more consistent look in different angles, like how a tube tv screen is shaped. It also adds a lil more volume. I own a 29 gal bowl front and a 10 gal regular rectangle tank and the bowl front looks so much better, u can see better from different angles
Only con i can think of is if you were to ever use a divider to divide ur tank into 2, you wouldn't be able to divide the bowl front.

Just as long as your fish have space to move and grow, I think the bow-front looks better.plus, with a bow-front you can see the fish better from different angels.

There ins't really much prons in and cons. The only thing that worries me is that bowfront tanks are mad from acrylic and plastic tanks.
