More specifically, what is the limit? So far, I have installed 5 graphics programs, plus yahoo messgenger, quicktime, windows media player, etc. I have 2 gigs of RAM, only a 70 gig hard drive. I've never installed so many apps before. Thanks for your time

The limit would be the size of your hard drive.
You can install a million + applications as long as they don't surpass the amount of space left on your HD. Once you go over the size limit and run out of space, you won't be able to install anymore applications.

as much as the hard disk can handle. applications vary in sizes. you can install a really small one or you can install 10 gig applications. check your c drive for remaining spaces and that will give you a general idea.
