Read why this well loved business is closing. Make sure you read the entire article. He mentions NY State as the reason. I am also a small business owner, and we have the highest taxes, most regulations, and Upstate has a 25% poverty rate. NO WONDER! These Democrats could care less. All they care about are more programs and more government. Why can't they see this? Save the rhetoric. This is a true story...

we also have free healthcare for children. They need free care because their parents can't find a job. This is your beloved SOCIALISM at it's finest.

Yes, Irockaro. That's true, but the Liberals claim they are for the little guy. They're contributing to that and pretending not to.

Blueridge: I AM AGAINST IT FROM EITHER PARTY. You know what makes you an idiot? You think you know what I think! Government should get the hell out of our lives.

always with the private Q and A's. Something to hide? Attack people because your platform sucks. Get a job and stop making me pay for your video games and beer.

Justag...: Pataki was a liberal Republican. The State is Liberal. You cannot get elected without the unions, and the guy's business is on Elmwood (which is on the upswing...that means higher tax assessments). I live in the city and frequented the place. It was always busy. He is going to work for a larger company because the business climate in NY is brutal for small businesses. I own a business here, and the decline did not start with Bush. Our State taxes, levels of gov't, and regulations are to blame. Those Co's left years ago to the south (Carolinas). Look it up.
Clinton opened Free Trade, by the way. Not Bush.

Blue: Who said I support Bush? I hate the way these idiot spend, and I am blaming all politicians for their rhetoric on how we need this and that just to make a nice rosy headline. Government keeps expanding under both parties because the Liberals in this country SCREAM bloody murder every time any politician tries to cut a worthless program. There is a "Job Training Program" on the West side of Buffalo with a 10 Million dollar budget that has ONE kid who wants to make Rap records. A friend of mine is an Administrato at School 18. She said the program is LOADED with patronage. When the R's tried to shut it down, all hell broke loos in the media. It's still open!!!! People like you and your emotional side rather than rational side. I'm so tired of my enormous tax bill, and I cannot pay anymore. I'm tapped.

Democrats make up 75% of NY. Buffalo has less than 3,000 Republicans. Erie County has 90% Democrats in power, and a Republican County Exec who is a former Democrat and acts like one. We now have a Democratic governor who plans to spend more (his 1st budget significantly increased spending) in order to "jump start" our economy. We are doomed in NY. People who are educated and successful are leaving in droves, and that's fine with the Democrats because they will have fewer conservatives who might vote against them. He cares more about illegals than successful taxpayers because all he cares about are votes, and cannot comprehend that we need people who create an economy rather than leach off of it.

When did I mention NAFTA? Clinton gave China Favored Trade Status. Bush has continued the policy. You don't understand that Conservatives are unhappy with Bush. All you do is blast Bush. Fine. It's the Liberals in this country who are partisan. Conservatives are looking for a candidate that is a Fiscal conservative (low taxes and cutting spending). Don't attack me. No politician is acting in my interest.

Are you sure you read the whole thing? His business had been in decline for a while, he is staying in NY and moving to another upstate location with another company.
He was in business for quite sometime and its not unusual for a business to find its neighborhood has changed, he felt the last few years had not seen good increases in his business. One could say that this has occurred since the Bush years. We do not have free health care for kids, and yes, I live in NY. Their parents can't find much work anymore in upstate because so many manufacturing jobs have left for Mexico and that's left us without our traditional base. Same for IBM and Eastman Kodak. All they want to do is use the people and get away with tax breaks then leave when the breaks run out.
And how can it be socialism when NY had a Republican Governor for the past twelve years? Why blame a Democrat who hasn't even been in a year yet? Isn't that a little selective?
NY isn't altogether so liberal, but the Republican whining of how it is wears poorly when you look at their accomplishments.

Oh, you're not going to get rid of me THAT easy. Here's my deleted answer, cleaned up so you (or whoever the delicate little flower was that reported me) have no excuse to "report" me:

Know what's scary? That people like you are free to roam the earth, never knowing how misinformed they are.

You talk about how Democrats love "more programs and more government" when the fact of the matter is this:

the government has grown more, fatter, bigger, more expensive under bush than under any other previous administration. Ever.

Facts apparently mean nothing to those who just parrot talking points..
You just keep repeating the rhetoric. It really is scary.

****************************
Um, excuse me, but I only know what you posted. And you used the word "Liberal" twice in the first sentence, and "Democrats" in the last part of the post. So....

********************************

Of course I have private Q&As since it took me a while to figure out certain people, with a personal vendetta, kept going into my Q&A to "report" really old posts. I got tired of receiving "Violation notices" for posting such offensive things as *sigh.*

That's right - someone actually "reported" me for posting the word...."sigh." So YES, my Q&As are private. You don't really have any business in my business, anyway, now do you?

And you know what ELSE kills me? You've got the nerve to say *I* am attacking YOU? Read your own post. It would appear that you are the attacker.

I wish I had a nickel for every ATTACK email I've received from partisans just like you. And I don't HAVE a "platform" friend. Neither of the parties represents me.

And I am really tired of the oft-repeated lie about "why don't you get a job?" since all of us work. Are you even aware that people who are down-and-out are rarely political? That they aren't voters? That they gave up long ago on the political process?

I've had a job since I was 14.
And I don't play video games and I don't drink beer.
Sheesh, have ANY of you ever had an original insult?

**********************
OH, and by the way, Clinton allowed NAFTA to happen because he knew how to govern in a bipartisan manner. But please don't insult us by saying it was Clinton's - NAFTA started back with Bush the First. Look it up.

It's ok, Wisconsin's Liberals also care more about criminals and illegal immigrants, granting them more protections and rights than the rest of us. We'll surpass you shortly if the Democrats get their proposed 100% budget increase.
