Oh. My. GAWD. O_O Maybe this is just my Old Fart side showing, since I was *around* when both of those songs were *New*, but seriously, this has got to be the *hands down Coolest Music Poll Ever* in the history of Polls & Freakin' Surveys !! This one *needs Stars* people! This one, *right here*.
Having said that.....I'm actually more fond of Hotel California myself. Yes, I know Bohemian Rhapsody is superior in terms of arrangement, music theory, the singing (Freddie Mercury hitting the high notes on "Galileo!" among other things).
But Hotel California is the *shorter* song. Meaning it gets radio play *Without* being cut short. Meaning I can actually hear the *whole entire thing* when it's played.
And...._Wayne's World_ ruined Rhapsody for me. Just the image of the AMC Pacer bouncing down the street....
(and what's with people saying Rhapsody doesn't have the Devil in it? Hello, of course it does...what was that lyric again, oh yeah, "...Beelzebub/has a Devil set aside/for me/for me/ for MEEEEE....")
But yeah, I'll admit my tastes are odd, and that Bohemian Rhapsody is musically superior....

Bohemian Rhapsody, hands down. Hotel California is the worst song ever by The Eagles. It makes no sense and is completely overplayed.
