Yeah -

They're 6-0, but LOOK at the schedule they've played !!! The only real team they have faced is K-State (they're mediocre at best). All the others are crap teams !!!

How in the WORLD are they ranked 15th in all the polls and the ALWAYS accurate BCS has them listed as 13th ?!?!? WTF?

Now - if they step up @ Colorado this week, beat Nebraska (which shouldn't be hard as everybody else is beating the Huskers), and then contend for the Big 12 North title and play a close Big 12 Championship with either Texas or OU - then I say give them MAD props.....

But is seems the pollsters like them just because they are in the handful of unbeaten teams and have gone 6-0 for like the 1st time in school history ?

I would reserve the "most overrated" title for Hawaii.

Playing Charleston Southern & Northern Colorado for non-conference wins, doesn't exactly strengthen your resume.
Also, playing in the WHACK, excuse me, I mean WAC, conference isn't a real boost to the resume either.

Kansas is probably a bit overrated now, but if they can defeat Colorado, Missouri, and Nebraska, then I can validate them being in the Top 15. Should they go to the National Championship? Perhaps, *only* if they go undefeated and beat Oklahoma in the Big XII title game in San Antonio. We know the Jayhawks are good, but to beat Oklahoma? That's asking too much of the Mangino.

So I guess we could say that Arizona State falls into the same category. 6-0 and haven't really played anyone.

As for conference wins, you have no control over how good or bad your conference is. Kicking the crud out of Baylor is no great feat, because everyone will do that this season because they are pathetic. Beating K-State is something and if they can beat Colorado and Missouri then yes they deserve all the props. Nebraska should be no problem because they are melting in to the world of no one cares. There other big test will be Oklahoma State. They should win the Big 12 North, but they will have to beat Oklahoma, Texas, or Texas Tech for the title.

There are a lot of schools with soft schedules! Look at Ohio States schedule, they haven't really played anyone in their non conference games. The real competition for them has yet to begin.

As for the BCS, it is a joke. They have USC's computer ranking higher than Oregon. Go figure, Oregon loses to Cal and USC loses to Stanford. My point exactly!

Kansas football. Hm. Two words that usually don't go together in the world of NCAA sports.
Are we seriously discussing why these guys are in the top 20?
I guess we are. So here it goes:
I scratch my head as to how they are above USC in the BSC rankings right now....To hear Kirk Herbstriet tell it, USC is right where they belong and so are the rest of the lot of the one-loss teams...but that's just his opinion.
Ranked 15th? I don't think you should worry too much about that. Seriously. All the overrated teams (Florida, Michigan, USC, LSU) have met their demise and those who have not WILL. Trust me on this one. It doesn't matter the "strength" of the schedule now does it? USC lost to the likes of Stanford and looked shaky at best against Washington. Those aren't exactly two schools who were "supposed" to give them a run for their money. And need I even go there with U of M? You know what I'm saying! :-)
Just hold tight. We're only half way through the season. I'd bet MONEY that the BCS championship game will have two teams who each have one loss. Keep your eyes peeled partner! :-D

A, look at their #'s, not just their seemingly weak schedule.

B, Kudos for beating OU or TX in the Big 12??? UHHH, OU & TX are both screwed out of that game until OSU A&M & Tech falter, then OU would go, they BEAT TX. Texas has ZERO chance of the Big 12 South spot.

C, K State mediocre? Auburn nearly got roasted by KSU, if it wasn't for 175+ yrds (45 in personal foul BAD CALLS) in penalties to KSU, the Cats would have won. They DOMINATED TEXAS AT TEXAS. OU didn't dominate them on a neutral field. KSU DOMINATED Colorado, which haned OU their only loss.

KU is at their best right now. They will face their biggest challenge at Arrowhead against Mizzou late in conf. play. I'm gonna say they will beat CU & Neb., but lose to Mizzou. That said, the North team to go to the Big 12 Championship will be determined in Manhattan, KS at Bill Snyder Stadium on Nov. 17th.

ADDED: I pray that Mizzou is "looking past" K State like the answerer above me OBVIOUSLY is. What glorious fun it would be for KSU and OU to repeat the 2003 Big 12 Championship. I wouldn't even care if OU loses and still gets to go to the NC again! (lol)

there become some large upsets... some being the 15 over both seeds. yet they received in basic terms to be blown out contained in the 2d round. North Carolina might want to of gave Kentucky a interest yet Kendall Marshall's damage placed a halt to their championship run. All at the same time i might want to provide it an well-known score of a 7/10 or C

I think USF is the most over-rated, second to Ohio State. Hey Buckeyes fans, thats right I said it. Ohio State has only played 2 teams with a winning record. Kentucky has 5 out of the 7 teams they have played, with a winning record. Go Cats!

I think they are overrated, but this happens every year. If someone gets off to a good start they will move up the polls until they lose. I think Boston College and South Florida are also over rated. This will all work itself out in the end.

Go Sooners!

They have played a tougher schedule than Ohio State. Kansas State is a a lot better than mediocre. They beat Texas at home and totally outplayed auburn at home and should have won. I would say that K-State is one of the top 15 teams in the country. Kansas should be ranked right up with Boston College and South Florida. Mangino has it going on in Lawrence.

How do you play in the Big 12 and get to avoid both Texas and Oklahoma. I don't even think they have Tech on their schedule. Do they ever have a road game? Oh well I hope they remain unbeaten until they reach MU then they will get a whooping put on them. I want MU to ruin their season and take the Big 12 North from them. Hopefully MU does not trip up at Tech so then we go in with only one loss. KU has to have the weakest schedule of any team in a BCS conference.

The teamsn they did beat they blew out. That shows alot in the voters eyes... IF they loose any game though expect them not to even be ranked the next week.
