I took down two single tube four foot old fluorescent fixtures and I am going to replace them with single tube four foot fluorescent T8 fixtures.
They are end to end and controlled by the same light switch.
Does anyone have a wiring diagram for how to wire these together so they both come on/off together?
The junction box that feeds the power is in the middle of where the fixtures are going (I guess that doesnt really matter).
All help appreciated!!

Wire the Black wire from both fixture together, then wire the two white wires together. After you do this, take the white wire from the power source and put it with the two white wires from the fixture, then take the two black wire and do the same. This should put both light fixture in parallel with each other.

I have done as you said, black to black, white to white first fixture, spliced in to send black to black & white to white of the second fixture, second fixture has a new ballast installed red/red, blue/blue, yellow/yellow, two outside bulbs of second fixture come on just fine, the two middle bulbs do not light. I have even changed all eight bulb sockets of the second fixture, everything seems right but I still have two bulbs out. ANY HELP OUT THERE WOULD BE APPRECIATED !!!

The black from your switch goes to the first fixture black and to the second fixture black. The white from the house goes to the first and second fixture whites. The bare or ground goes to each fixture on the grounding screws. All blacks together and all whites together.

Black goes to black.
White goes to white
Green is the safety ground- attached to the metal housing.

Tape any bare wires.

Hopes this helps.
