I don't care nor do I believe their lives are news worthy. What about the troops or our ever-changing economy. I want to know them for their work not that they got a latte yesterday at a Starbucks.

I love celebrity gossip. Sorry, but I do. I do get tired of hearing the same ole stuff over and over again. But it's just entertainment. Gives me a chance to empty my brain for a few moments and indulge.
Go ahead and thumbs down me. I'm expecting it!! But you can't say that after reading about celeb mishaps, you don't feel a tiny bit better about your own life!!

good way to express yourself. I dont give a monkey's anus about what Brittiney Spears is snorting up her nose while shaving her head , driving with her baby in her lap, crashing into cars and losing her baby to a washed up k Fed.
A lot of people are basically brain dead and just love to gossip or wish they could live the life of a star while they sit on their @$$ , eating and gaining weight so that they can be the next fatty on the Jerry Springer show!
People rather be entertained than educated about the world.

Honestly when I went to England for vacation this year, I heard nothing about:
Britney Spears
Paris Hilton
Nicole Richie
Lyndsey Lohan
AND IT WAS WONDERFUL!!!!
It was like a breath of fresh air not to be innundated with their BORING UNINTERESTING POINTLESS lives.
In England it was more about people with real talent who do interesting work, there were more documentaries, world news, music programmes, cultural goings on.
It was SO refreshing. I don't understand why TMZ and tv stations think we are so very interested in these girls. I'm really quite sick of hearing about them AND I am a celeb junkie!!! (now used to be. I can't take anymore)

Apparently a lot of people, judging by the sales of tabloids and the amount of hits celebrity websites receive and the high ratings that celebrity shows get. You don't care. I, also, could care less. But millions do. It's sad, but true. So long as people keep tuning into this crap, we will always be bombarded by them.

well, some of them do good things with their fame. Ones that have charities and donate their time to the less fotunate, i do care about them. but the ones i think you're thinking of (Lindsay, Paris, Britney (leave her alone), Rosie), yeah, i really don't care what happens to them.
don't be so general next time, narrow it down a bit, unless you're jealous of the nice celebs too.
