Did anyone else see her crying over that dog? I mean at first i thought she's a bit upset but man did she pour her heart out! Poor thing.

She was absolutely wrong for using a public forum like her show to air a personal issue involving a named third party. That animal shelter is now being wrongly harassed because of it.

I thought she was genuinely upset by the whole situation; she really doesn't seem the type to fake emotions. Though I've only read a few of the articles regarding Mutts & Moms position, it does seem like they are being unreasonable. She found them a good home with a loving family and yes they may have children that are below the 14 yr. age limit, but is that a reason to be so inflexible? And they're making a big deal about who actually signed the paper work...like that matters! Marina and Vanessa are choosing to make this a bigger battle then need be by calling out all the "Ellen DeGenereses of the world...", I mean come on! And one more thing, this is a non-profit organization that is based in LA, did these women ever stop to think that a big portion of their donations probably come from the "Ellen DeGenereses of the world."

Hadn't heard about it, just went to youtube.com and watched a couple of clips to update myself. Ok, Vanessa is a total ***** for saying that she was going to do an "in house check" to see if the dog was in a safe loving place, and then basically kidnapped the dog. I can't see how someone that works for an animal shelter could do that to the dog. That is sad. There are so many dogs out there that need homes and Ellen obviously didn't just dump the dog on someone that wouldn't care for it. Bottom line?...I think it's about money! I think Vanessa and her company will make more money off that dog because it is a cute dog that someone will adopt. Moreso now that it belonged to Ellen. Hopefully whoever adopts it will just give it back to that little girl and never tell the company about it. I didn't see anything as to why that family that Ellen gave it to couldn't just go down and adopt it? Makes no sense....but Vanessa...oh man girl...she better watch out. That is jacked up.

You have got to be kidding me. There are people dying all over the world and THIS is what she has a breakdown over? I used to love Ellen, but after this I am so utterly disappointed. Use your fame and fortune to do some good in the world.

Ok so why didnt Ellen call the DOG WHISPERER
or another specialist to assist to solve the problem
and then she wouldnt be in this problem and she would have the expensive dog she paid for.

She should have tried harder. she should have read the fine print of any contract she signs - she is a celebrity and she should have known better - there are no simple contracts when it comes to celebs

she should get over it and leave it alone.....thats the rules and all of us have to follow them - even celebs.

So get the kids another puppy and this time follow the rules - pay another fee and let them sign for the dog......

if its the principle of the thing - yes but its the real world and rules apply esp for celebs - find out that the dog gets a good home.

And why doesnt the hairdresser go to adopt the dog if they really want it??????

Move on with your life and pray that the dog finds a good home despite the publicity.

I think she should hire a big time lawyer to get the dog back. I've heard technically that her girlfriend signed the contract not her.

You know what , I am sorry but she did sign the contract and surely she read the part where it said if the dog cannot be kept in her house then she has to return it to the shelter . I am sorry it went down the way it did and the kids got hurt but it is her own fault .

Poor thing?? She did'nt read the contract terms of condition. She screwed up and now is using her media to make the adoption agency look like the bad guy.
She should be held accountable!!!!
It is the little girls that should be crying not that phoney Ellen.

I feel sorry for her it was wrong to take the dog away from it's new home I don't know how the so called humane societies work where Ellen lives but in St Louis they kill all animals that are not adopted within 2 weeks

She seemed genuine, unfortunately, she chose the wrong forum to plead her case. The agency will most likely believe she's using her star status to pressure them into giving the dog back. If they were to return the dog, they would be setting a precedence. All future adoptive families would be free to give their dogs away as they see fit and I can't see that happening.
It may sound callous, but I believe she'll lose this one, and rightly so. She signed the contract.

ok, so she broke a contract... so charge her a hefty FINE. If the dog was loved, well-cared for and happy, then leave him where he was... why does the dog have to suffer? And the kids?
