Anyone that votes for hillary needs to ask
What experience does this woman have running anything at any level?
Being first lady does not make you qualified to be president.
Facts? how will she pay for all these socialist programs of hers?
Raise your taxes which will make your paycheck smaller.

Mark Twain never said that.
What was actually written was --
“no man’s life, liberty, or property are safe while the Legislature is in session.”
And it wasn't Mark Twain. It was New York attorney Gideon J. Tucker in 1866.
You've invented a quote. Typical of conservatives and their liberal cousins-if the facts don't back you up, invent something!
Yet another reason I am a socialist and don't support either liberals or conservatives in their quest to preserve capitalism.

This is another one of those questions/comments that takes nothing of History into account. The parties of yesteryear cannot adequately or fairly be compared with today's parties. The Democrats of yesteryear merged in Republicanism... We should not be going backwards with the party comparisons, because you cannot compare them appropriately.
EDIT : Hillary actually has alot of experience. Not only as Senator, but as First Lady of the US, she traveled the world over. They love her overseas... the whole world can't be wrong. She did alot as First Lady, yes, it can be counted. She also did much for our children as First Lady of Ark. She founded or co-founded many Children's Orgs., and diligently worked on the Children's Defense Fund. She has been proving kids mean something to her ...for years, and not with talk, with actions.
Furthermore, Hillary was not a Head Cheerleader, as our present President was... I would hope we think Cheerleading is NOT considered experience.. look what has happened since Bush took office---

No, he did not.
That is a lie.
Some things he did say are:
"In religion and politics people's beliefs and convictions are in almost every case gotten at second-hand, and without examination, from authorities who have not themselves examined the questions at issue but have taken them at second-hand from other non-examiners, whose opinions about them were not worth a brass farthing."
- Autobiography of Mark Twain
"I am quite sure now that often, very often, in matters concerning religion and politics a man's reasoning powers are not above the monkey's."
- Mark Twain in Eruption
"To lodge all power in one party and keep it there is to insure bad government and the sure and gradual deterioration of the public morals."
- Mark Twain's Autobiography
"Look at the tyranny of party--at what is called party allegiance, party loyalty--a snare invented by designing men for selfish purposes--and which turns voters into chattles, slaves, rabbits, and all the while their masters, and they themselves are shouting rubbish about liberty, independence, freedom of opinion, freedom of speech, honestly unconscious of the fantastic contradiction; and forgetting or ignoring that their fathers and the churches shouted the same blasphemies a generation earlier when they were closing their doors against the hunted slave, beating his handful of humane defenders with Bible texts and billies, and pocketing the insults and licking the shoes of his Southern master."
- "The Character of Man," Mark Twain's Autobiography
"There are two kinds of Christian morals, one private and the other public. These two are so distinct, so unrelated, that they are no more akin to each other than are archangles and politicans. During three hundred and sixty-three days in the year the American citizen is true to his Christian private morals, and keeps undefiled the nation's character at its best and highest; then in the other two days of the year he leaves his Christian private morals at home and carries his Christian public morals to the tax office and the polls, and does the best he can to damage and undo his whole year's faithful and righteous work".

Kiss your paycheck and freedom goodbye? With this current administration we've had to deal with things from wiretapping, outsourcing, and this war. So most Americans have kissed those things goodbye long ago. Raising taxes to pay for socialist healthcare?? Okay, so your against them raising your taxes so everyone can have healthcare other than the the 3 P's (poor people, politicians, and prisoners). However your okay with them steering the taxes they are taking from you (and education, and medicaid, etc...) and using them for the war?! And let's be clear, the money Bush keeps begging, borrowing, and stealing, is going to everyone BUT our troops (and their families). You have GOT to be kidding me.

He was equally harsh with christians and conservatives. Find a quote from someone who believed on something, rather than a professional wit.
Hilary Clinton will be the next President, because people want her. People want her more because she is the antithesis of Bush League neoprotestant puritanism.
Mark Twain also said "it is the first duty of a Christian mother to soil her child's mind." Given your faith in him, would you also support a ban on religious education of the young?

Actually, Twain once said, "Misquoting me seems to a great many a man's personal hobby." I made that up.
But if you think Clemens was a conservative, find a copy of his book, "Letters From the Earth." He makes fun of Religion, and Man's place in the Universe. He points out that people dream of heaven where giving glory to G-d is a 24/7 joy, harp playing and a place without sex (Exempting the LDS Church, because they have lots of Heavenly Sex) and believe G-d spends his time thinking about us all the time. Then, Satan, who was kicked out of heaven for a heavenly day is writing the letters back to G-d, points most people can't stand sitting in church even for just an hour a week, will kill for sex and most are tone deaf. Great read, rare book.

He actually didn't say that. And as to the first post, Hillary's qualifications come from being a senator, not a first lady. All of the GOP candidates have the same background, or are congressmen or governors.

Mark Twain was also an anti-imperialist. There are small differences between the dems and republicans but those differences don't concern me. Nothing fundamental will change.
Twain would definitely not side with so-called conservatives these days who believe in using tax-payer monies to subsidize the high-tech. industry, supposedly for "defense." And he definitely not condone US aggression around the world, heightening since world war 2.

You added the liberal stuff. Why can't you post an honest question instead of going all GOPish on us?
