Jill,this had to be in the late 30's or early 40's.Life was so much simplier.Sorry to hear it was bad for your Mother.People back then were really hard workers(they had to be).Didn't mean to bring you down.Take care and GOD BLESS.

Oh Betty, Where those really the days ?? Or just how do you mean that ?? I was very young & until you brought it up, I would have never thought of it again. That period of time was very hard on my ill & overworked single Mother. Nuff said.
It's so many painful things just swirling in my head. Depression era was so bad. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Before my time, but I do remember the milk man that delievered milk, eggs, and butter. I still use a working refridgerator built in 1948.
