WHAT evidence is needed by the left in order to recognize a real threat? Actual mushroom clouds? Hundreds of thousands dead and dying from a dirtybomb?

Dude, I'm not a liberal, I'm a Libertarian. I would say they're stating a 'strong opinion', just like what Americans say 'nuke 'em', or 'blow them to the stone ages'..
Americans have been meddling with the middle east politics for a very long time, and Iran and Iraq in particular. CIA has a term 'blow back', that if we meddle wit other nations, there are side-effects. Chanting 'Death to America' is one of the side effects.
I have heard many Americans say 'Nuke 'em' to Iraq and Iran.. is that any different? Or are we just joking?

We have to be reticent in our stand against Iran obtaining nuclear weapons. Their stand for years has been anti-American and we know they are sending troops into Iraq to fight us besides sponsoring terrorism throughout the Middle East. The liberals will never see the dangers of Iran till a missile is headed to Israel or our ships in the Persian Gulf.

There is no getting through. Here they have real life tangible proof of something threatening our enviroment and they'd rather wage war on SUV drivers.
But, now that it's all been explained to me, about Iran not really hating me just my government, I'll feel much better when the civil defense alarms sound knowing that it's nothing personal.

Well Iranians live in a dictatorship even though they have so called elections if they don't shout it what do you think happens to them, if I hold a gun to your head and tell you to disavow a national leader other than your own you'd do it in a heartbeat, we're less than a generation away from Iran changing due to the amount of youth and the majority of them have favorable opinions of the west, but if we go in bombing I think those opinions and therefore the change that will benefit us will never come, why can't cons think deeper than a thimble full

all they hear is "Death to Republicans", and i bet they chant right along with them. The Dems beleive everything will be fine under a democrat administration, that somehow they will no longer want to kill us all.

Yeah I really do not hear that. Second No country is dumb enough to actually use a nuclear weapon against another. Also I am pretty sure the only country that Iran would use a nuke against is Israel not the US. They may hate us but they hate the Israelis much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much more.

Of course they are not joking and no one thinks they are.
Point is.. why do they hate us so much.. because we are over there in their territory conducting a false invasion. We are getting hundred of thousands of people killed and pitting one side against the other.. and foolishly calling it liberation...
How would we feel if they were doing that in Mexico.. or Canada... so yes.. they hate us.. guess why?
