I will quit following the NFL if this happens. It's hard enough for the average fan to be able to afford a ticket, flight, and hotel room to the super bowl as it is. The mere suggestion of having it in London outrages me - it's an American tradition and pasttime for an American sport. There are tons of American cities that still haven't hosted a super bowl - many of these cities have teams in the NFL. What has London done to deserve this honor? In any given NFL city, there are probably twice the number of football fans than in all of Great Britain combined. Sending the Super Bowl there would be a huge mistake because it would be a slap in the face to faithful NFL fans.

Maybe if they had a team in the NFL it would be different. Like the Expo's and the Blue Jays in baseball. but they don't, so I say not just no but HELL no.
I agree with the fellow that said American tradition/American past time.
I don't care where they have the exhibition games or an occasional non-divisional in season game, but the play-offs and the Super Bowl need to be left alone.
Why can't they just be happy with NFL Europe?

I would consider boycotting if they did that. It is one thing to hold a game overseas during the pre-season or even some non-rating game like Giants and Dolphins but to actually hold a superbowl over there is a crock.
I do think there should be a neutral stadium to hold superbowls to prevent the unlikely but still possible event of a team having home field at the superbowl.

Generally, regular fans cannot get tickets to the Super Bowl any way so it does not really matter to me where the game is played as long as I can watch it on television.

I think it would be as shameful as playing the world series in another country. To even consider it means that Goodell has no regard for the American football fans.

It will never happen. US NFL fans would riot and ask for the head of commissioner on a platter.

This is a dumb, decision. Let the Europeans keep their crappy version of football and not corrupt ours.

Won't happen. Can't happen. No market share, no money, the NFL would lose millions.
