Rumors are circulating around the Windy city that Brian Urlacher stormed into GM Jerry Angelo's office and told Lovie Smith that he is fed up with the poor start of his defense and is willing to sit out. According to reporters Urlacher was so embarrassed by the play of his D on Sunday he also went on a post-game lockerroom tirade demanding that his teammates stop missing tackles and play with more emotion. This comes directly after the Bears allowed Vikings RB Adrian Peterson to rush for more than 220 yds

Smith is a good coach, but I think the bears have more issues to solve than a contract extension for Lovie. They are in urgent need for a decent QB. Since the days of McMahon they don't know what it's to be a contender instead a pretender. If they can improve their running game I think the bears could be an interesting team to follow in the quest for the Lombardi.

urlacher is a thug, and a not so smart one at that. i say let him sit out, break his contract and start being a father to his child. of course he would need a job cuz i think the bears should fire him and his crappy attitude. and as for missed tackles? urlacher only uses his arms to complete a tackle about 35% of the time. often the opponet gets a few more yards on the brian because he doesn't wrap them up. urlacher is a baby. on what other planet can a thug on steroids make this much money playing a game? silly fool. but do tell mr hester i love him! now that is talent, no too bright either, but at least he isn't a baby!

I don't believe that story. I also don't believe the Bears defense is that bad. I believe Peterson is that good. I do believe that DB's across the league are starting to find ways not to try and tackle Peterson because he has already knocked about 10 of them out of the games so far. That is one bad dude!

He can't do it. You get paid to practice (thats why they get fined if they dont show up) and to play. If he sits out, he will be fined a lot of $$

Treat him like you would any other employee who acted that way rather than as the spoiled athlete he is.

He should sit the rest of the season. IMHO, he's junk.
