One of the greatest gifts that we can give ourselves and each other is the elimination of any kind of 'need'. It is 'need' that creates expectation, and it is expectation that leads to disappointment, and disappointment leads to suffering.
It was no coincidence ( is if there were any ) that Stephen King's excellent movie along the lines of Mephistopheles, was named 'Needful Things', Max von Sydow played a wonderful portrayal of the 'Dark One'. Of course it is only the 'needing' which is dark. :-)))

Oh, lucky3...admit it: every one needs to be needed! Even if some (or most of us..) do not admit this, it's in our nature to feel that...c'mooon! ...the answer is really obvious!
