Just need some advice and witch computer do you think it's better. I havnt been keeping up with hardware, so any advice will help, thank you!

CPU: Intel C2Q Q6600 2.40GHz
Motherboard: EVGA nForce 680i SLI
HD: Seagate Barracuda (ST3500630NS) ES 500GB SATA
Video Card: EVGA GeForce 8800 GTX
Memory: Corsair Dual Channel TWINX 2048MB PC8500 DDR2 1066MHz E.P.P. Memory
Power: CoolerMaster Real Power Pro 650-Watt Power Supply - SLI, SATA-Ready, 120mm Fan, Active PFC

Computer 2:
CPU: Intel C2Q Q6600 2.40GHz
Motherboard: ASUS P5K-E/WIFI-AP Motherboard (Intel P35, LGA775, C2Q/C2D,PCI-E, FSB1333,DDR2, Audio/LAN/1394/WiFi)
Memory: OCZ2P8004GK 2x2G DDR2-800 Platinum Revision 2 Dual Channel (5-4-4-18 )
Video Card: ASUS EAH2900XT/HTVDI/512M HD2900XT 512M DDR3 PCI-E Video Card (Dual DVI, VIVO, VGA)
HD: Seagate 500G SATA II Hard Drive(Barracuda 7200.10, ST3500630AS,16M Buffer, 7200RPM)
Power: OCZ GameXStream

i'd go for Computer 1. but try getting an OCZ 1066mhz RAM and 2*250gb drives instead of 1*500gb. just in case one fails you can still use the other and maybe keep important files on both drives. get an OCZ psu

reasons why i didn't chooses Comp 2:
-8800GTX slightly better than 2900XT (now i'm an ATi fan-boy!)
-DDR2-800 ram

otherwise the PC's great! i love the motherboard!

I would go with PC 2... although the memory is a touch slower, it is 4GB (which will show up as 3.5 at most in XP)

I wouldn't swap the HD out, since it is a SATA-II (3.0 gb/s) but definitely think about getting an external HD and some backup software for disaster recovery.

Not enough difference in them to be an issue. Go with the cheaper one.
